Your Guide to Digital Transformation with Worximity

Let's be honest, overseeing a manufacturing floor can feel like a never-ending juggling act. Balancing production quotas, quality control, supply chain logistics, and a myriad of other responsibilities can leave you feeling overwhelmed. Technology, however, gives us the opportunity to transform chaos into control, offering the potential for greater efficiency, and profitability.  But to truly harness its power and reap its benefits, you need more than just the tools; you need a partner who understands your unique challenges and is committed to guiding you every step of the way.

Implementing technology-based solutions such as production monitoring isn’t as easy as flipping a switch. Change can be problematic for any organization - especially when handled internally. And a lack of expertise makes it difficult to determine exactly how and where to begin.

In this blog, we'll delve into Worximity’s proven process of supporting our clients throughout their digital transformation journey. This is essential to achieve success and is what sets us apart from all the other players in the market.

STEP 1 - Assess

Your road to improvement begins with an on-site assessment where a dedicated continuous improvement consultant will visit your facility to examine your shop floor equipment, processes, and resources as well as better understand your specific goals and challenges.

Following a thorough analysis of your operations and needs, a proposal tailored to your manufacturing environment and objectives is provided. We’ll outline what information we need to capture, and you’ll know where and how we’ll collect the data along with the desired outcomes.

Many of our clients are looking to improve cost efficiency by:

  • Understanding the root causes of downtime.
  • Evaluating production times by work order or SKU.
  • Determining machine uptime.
  • Identifying production speeds and setting appropriate targets.
  • Connecting real-time production data with inventory and planning from an ERP.
  • Or they’re simply trying to better understand which machines or production lines are running at any time and how they’re performing in real-time.

Together, we’ll create a roadmap with specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-based (SMART) improvement goals.

STEP 2 - Connect

At Worximity we believe that success is only achieved with the buy-in from your shop floor. This is why, unlike with other suppliers, we travel on-site to install and test our production monitoring solution. The system begins capturing data the moment it is connected. But we don’t just hand over the keys and walk away. Your expert advisor ensures data accuracy and precision while training your staff on exactly how to maximize the use of our software. We don’t leave until adoption is complete and your people fully understand what they’re seeing on their screens and how it helps them do their jobs better.

STEP 3- Measure

One month following implementation a quick health check will be scheduled to review the data, evaluate performance, and set targets accordingly. We’ll assess everything from machine and line availability to your most critical downtimes, production speed by SKU, and more.

We’ll also ensure that adoption continues to be a success and determine any notable action items. In many instances, this is when we integrate our software with other back-office systems like an ERP or Power BI which helps in eliminating data silos and ensuring information is properly connected and leveraged across your organization.

STEP 4 - Improve

Improvement is an ongoing process and Worximity will be with you every step of the way. We’ll plan quarterly business reviews to examine shop floor engagement, present improvement projects, and discuss any opportunities or challenges that may come your way.

Armed with the right manufacturing insights, you’ll gain more confidence in making strategic decisions on issues like resource allocation, equipment investment, and production planning as well as transform the long, demanding process of cost reviews into something easier, more streamlined, and accurate.

Other services

For those looking for immediate gains in their OEE (overall equipment effectiveness), we offer services that allow us to pinpoint a specific area for improvement and create a customized approach for achieving rapid results in just days. We're so confident our technology can help you uncover internal efficiencies that we've designed a risk-free OEE program guaranteed to boost performance.

The time is now
